Parichart Suwinthawong Animal Hospital (PSAH)

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers for owners considering PSAH for a complex or specialist case.

Is PSAH a 24-hour walk-in emergency hospital?

We are open daily 9:00–19:00 and are not a walk-in emergency hospital. Selected critical or post-surgical patients may receive 24-hour monitored in-patient care, supervised by a nurse and/or veterinarian, as assessed by our vets.

Why is PSAH more expensive than other clinics nearby?

We are not the cheapest hospital in East Bangkok. Pricing reflects specialist time, proper monitoring, Harmonic / LigaSure instrumentation and real outcomes. If price is the only criterion, another clinic may fit better.

Does PSAH have a board-certified surgeon and anesthesiologist?

Yes — a board-certified soft-tissue surgeon and veterinary anesthesiologist on staff full-time, not as visiting consultants, plus multiple Thai-board diplomates (DipTBVS / DipTBVIM) on the team.

Do you offer feline rhinoscopy?

Yes. Our endoscopy tower supports feline rhinoscopy for chronic sneezing, nasal discharge or epistaxis, including targeted sampling.

Can my dog or cat get an echocardiogram here?

Yes. We provide echocardiography for heart-disease diagnosis and staging (MVD / HCM) and for pre-anesthetic risk assessment in cardiac patients.

Do you provide Electrochemotherapy for pet cancer?

Yes, when indicated. We plan cancer care case-by-case around surgical oncology (our main strength), chemotherapy and electrochemotherapy (ECT), with palliative support.

Do you offer home rehabilitation and home euthanasia?

Yes. Home rehabilitation with appropriate equipment for large, painful or geriatric pets; and home euthanasia led by a CAETA-certified veterinarian.

Do you accept referrals and second opinions?

Yes. We welcome referrals from primary-care clinics and second opinions for complex medical, surgical and oncologic cases.

Do your vets speak English?

Yes. Our veterinarians — including the lead vet — consult in English. Reception is Thai-first, so the fastest path for English speakers is LINE. Message symptoms, photos or a short video and a vet will reply.

How do I reach PSAH after hours?

Message LINE @parichartsah any time. During 09:00–19:00 replies are fastest. After hours we advise on next steps. For true life-threatening emergencies outside our hours, go to the nearest 24-hour emergency hospital.

How do I get a cost estimate?

Message LINE with symptoms, photos or a short video. A veterinarian will outline options and a price range. Final fees depend on examination and diagnostics.

What is PSAH's care philosophy?

Client education first — never the economics of our business. We tell you what your pet actually needs, even when that means fewer treatments, a referral, or comfort care.
